DWLS (Driving with Suspended License) in violation of RCW 46.20.342

            First Degree is a Gross Misdemeanor- the maximum penalty is up to one year in jail, and a $5,000.00 fine.  There is a mandatory jail sentence of 10 days if you are convicted on a first offense, 90 days for a second offense, and 180 days for a third offense. Additionally, the Washington Department of Licensing can suspend your driving privileges for one year. If you are not a United States Citizen you could also be subject to Deportation.

 

            2nd Degree is a Gross Misdemeanor- the maximum penalty is

up to one year in jail, and a $5,000.00 fine.  Additionally, the Washington

Department of Licensing can suspend your driving privileges for one year.

If you are not a United States Citizen you could also be subject to

Deportation.

 

            3rd Degree is a Misdemeanor- the maximum penalty is up to 90

days in jail and a $1,000.00 fine.
